The Process
David: I usually paint on a surface (Linencanvas) that I have previously primed with oil paint. It is best if there is an underpainting.
Then I feel that it is easier to unleash my creativity. I always make a sketch in oil paint which I let dry for two days. Then I start my work towards the finished painting.
Many people ask how long it takes to make a painting and it can take from 3 days up to 3 weeks depending on how well the plan goes and at what stage I am satisfied with what I have done.
