My name is David, I grew up painting. My father was an artist and for me it was never something strange to make paintings. It was part of the family. We were probably the only family in the small village of Rottne with a studio in the garden.
Here there was room for creativity. My father taught me how to make EggTempera paint from scratch with pigments and eggs.
The classic historical craft of painting has always interested me.
Now I make my own oil paint with pigment and linseed oil. A 500-year-old method that has not changed since then.
There is something magical in using the same materials and working methods as the great masters of the 16th century.

My interest in painting with oil began many years ago. And at the art school, I had the opportunity to immerse myself and develop my painting technique.
